West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A stationary front across the S
waters will linger tonight into Thu before dissipating. High
pressure over the N and central waters will drift into the S
waters tonight, then shift E of the area Thu and Thu night. The
high will maintain a ridge over the central and S waters Fri into
Mon night. Chesapeake NAVTEX is reported inoperable. Technicians
