Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...A ridge over the Gulf waters will support light to
gentle winds and slight seas over the eastern half of the Gulf,
and gentle to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas across
the western half of the basin today. Winds and seas may increase
over the central and west- central Gulf tonight through Sun
night as a broad area of low pressure, with some potential for
tropical cyclone development reaches the area. Conditions are
forecast to improve Mon through Tue.

.THIS AFTERNOON...SE winds 5 to 10 kt in the afternoon. Seas 2 ft
or less. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
.TONIGHT...SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less, building to
3 ft late. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
.SAT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered
showers and isolated tstms.
.SAT NIGHT...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered
showers and slight chance of tstms.
.SUN...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
.SUN NIGHT...E winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft, subsiding to 2 ft or

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure over the region will produce gentle to
moderate winds with moderate seas NE of the Bahamas. Winds and
seas may begin to increase over the far southeastern waters late
Sat through Mon in advance of a strong tropical wave, possibly a
tropical cyclone, that is expected to track in a general westward
motion into the Caribbean Sea Mon through Tue night.

N of 27N, S winds less than 5 kt in the afternoon. Seas 2 ft or
less. Chance of tstms.
.TONIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE to S 5 to
10 kt N of 27N. Seas 2 ft or less. Chance of showers and slight
chance of tstms.
