.SYNOPSIS...A cold front will drift S over the S waters today as
a weak low moves E along the front. The low will quickly move E
of the area while pulling the cold front S of the area tonight
into Fri. High pressure will build E over the N portion tonight
into Fri, then shift E of the region Fri night into Sat night
while maintaining a ridge across the waters. Tropical Storm
Ernesto will track N to NE to the SE of the area Thu night into
Fri as a hurricane, then turn NE Fri night into Sat night.
Ernesto will stay E of the waters Sun and Sun night while
continuing to move to the NE. S to SE swell from Ernesto will
move NE into the waters Thu into Fri, and then continue Fri night
through Sat night. See the latest advisory from the National
Hurricane Center on Tropical Storm Ernesto. The NAVTEX stations
in Charleston and Chesapeake have been reported to be inoperable.
