.DISCUSSION...
Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Northwesterly flow will persist today.
Showers and thunderstorms in the area should remain east of this region,
though cloud buildups over ridgetops will be more likely. Winds will be
breezy out of the northwest through the afternoon and evening hours.
There is high confidence for a heatwave July 6 through 13 with
temperatures in the low 100s to 110s in the lower valleys.
Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): Showers and thunderstorms are expected
this afternoon and evening as unstable and moist conditions persist
under northwesterly flow. Winds will be breezy throughout the day as a
result, with shower activity dissipating after sunset. Showers and
thunderstorms are possible on the 4th in Glacier National Park.
Thunderstorms are again possible on Saturday the 6th. There is high
confidence for a heatwave July 7 through 13 with temperatures in the 90s
to low 100s in the lower valleys.
West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): Showers and thunderstorms will
persist through this evening as unstable and moist conditions persist
under northwesterly flow. Winds will be breezy throughout the day as a
result, with shower activity dissipating after sunset. Isolated showers
and thunderstorms are possible closer to the Divide on the 4th and
Saturday the 6th. There is high confidence for a heatwave July 7 through
13 with temperatures in the 90s to low 100s in the lower valleys.
Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Showers and thunderstorms will
persist through this evening under northwesterly flow. Winds will be
breezy throughout the day as a result, with shower activity dissipating
after sunset. Breezy northwest winds are possible on Saturday.
