.DISCUSSION...
Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Sunny skies with westerly breezes this week.
Confidence is high for a prolonged period of hot and dry weather Friday
into this weekend and beyond.
Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): Showers and thunderstorms are
expected today and Wednesday. Westerly gusts of 15-25 mph will develop
this afternoon. Temperatures rising into the 90s with minimum humidities
lower into the teens by this weekend in the lower elevations.
West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): Westerly wind gusts of 15-25
mph developing today. Showers and thunderstorms are possible over the
terrain today, but more widespread coverage on Wednesday. Probabilities
of wetting rains reach 25% across the West Lolo, and 40-60% across the
Flathead Reservation and East Lolo. Increasing confidence for a heatwave
developing July 5th through the 12th.
Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Westerly wind gusts of 15-25 mph
will develop this afternoon. Areas east of the divide will see gusts of
20-30 mph. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will develop across
eastern portions of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge NF. Scattered showers and
thunderstorms will expand area wide Wednesday. Increasing confidence for
a heatwave developing July 5th through the 12th.
