...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT WESTERN CLAIBORNE...EASTERN
CAMPBELL AND NORTHERN UNION COUNTIES THROUGH 130 PM EDT...

At 1235 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Wilkerson to 6 miles south of Jacksboro.
Movement was northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
La Follette, Harrogate, Rocky Top, Springdale, Cumberland Gap,
Arthur, Sharps Chapel, Sandlick, Disney, and Clairfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for
southwestern Virginia.
