.DISCUSSION...

Showers and thunderstorms are continuing this afternoon into the
evening as a front moves toward the eastern Tennessee Valley and
southern Appalachians. The storms will end later this evening with
patchy fog late tonight and early Saturday. This weekend will be
drier for most locations with showers and storms mainly over the
eastern part of the region.
