This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Hazardous heat and humidity will continue again across the
forecast area today. The messaging remains the same... If you
plan to be, or have to be outside for extended periods today,
stay well hydrated, take breaks in the shade or inside, and know
the signs of heat-related illnesses.

In addition to heat and humidity, some isolated to scattered
storms will be possible across northern Arkansas this afternoon
and evening. The main hazards with storms will include hail and
strong to damaging wind gusts.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday

Oppressive conditions will continue on Independence Day.
Afternoon temperatures will top out in the 90s, and maximum heat
index values will range from 100 to 115 degrees.

Chances of showers and thunderstorms will increase Thursday night
into Friday as a cold front arrives from the north. Any severe
weather will be spotty, with strong to damaging wind the main
concern. Localized flash flooding is also possible.

Many folks will be celebrating July 4th outdoors, and the weather is
a major concern given heat, thunderstorms, and lightning. People are
advised to play it safe and monitor conditions closely during the
holiday.

Slightly cooler, drier, and more seasonal air is in the forecast
this weekend. Thunderstorms will become more isolated as well.

Another cold front will push into the state from the Plains
early next week. The front is expected to stall across the area,
and will trigger scattered thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday.
Temperatures will remain seasonal.

.Spotter Information Statement...

Spotter activation is not anticipated at this time.
