Through 8 pm...isolated sprinkles and light rain showers will
affect the southeast Texas Panhandle into the northeast and
central South Plains. Any rainfall will be spotty and light,
generally a trace to a couple hundredths of an inch.

.NOW...
Through 8 pm...isolated showers and thunderstorms will affect the
southwest South Plains, primarily parts of Yoakum County. The
strongest activity will produce lightning, brief downpours and
wind gusts in excess of 45 mph. At 7 pm, the strongest storm was
located near Plains, and was moving northeast at 20 mph. If you
hear thunder, take shelter indoors or in a hard-topped vehicle and
wait for the storm to pass.
