This afternoon will be hot and muggy with heat index readings peaking around 99 to 104. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Scattered storms Thursday and Friday may produce locally torrential downpours and gusty winds. All thunderstorms are a lightning threat. Outdoor Independence Day celebrations may be negatively impacted. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed at times this afternoon through Friday.
