Routine Fire Wx Fcst (With/Without 6-10 Day Outlook)
Issued by NWS North Platte, NE
Issued by NWS North Platte, NE
817 FNUS53 KLBF 181931 FWFLBF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western and North Central for Nebraska National Weather Service North Platte NE 231 PM CDT Thu Jul 18 2024 .DISCUSSION... Temperatures will remain seasonable or even mild, and periodic precipitation chances through early next week, helping to limit overall fire weather concerns. The greatest potential for widespread wetting rain comes tomorrow afternoon and evening, primarily east of Highway 61. The threat of critical fire conditions appears low regionwide as humidity values stay at least 10% above thresholds and ambient winds generally under 15 mph. Will continue to monitor the panhandle however, where antecedent conditions are dry and forecast moisture is relatively limited.
