...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN WOODFORD...EAST
CENTRAL TAZEWELL...CENTRAL MCLEAN AND SOUTHEASTERN PEORIA COUNTIES
THROUGH 945 PM CDT...

At 920 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Tremont to near Hudson to 8 miles
northeast of Downs. Movement was east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Bloomington, Normal, Pekin, Morton, Tremont, Lexington, Mackinaw,
Hudson, Minier, Danvers, Colfax, Downs, Goodfield, Deer Creek,
Stanford, Carlock, Towanda, Congerville, Groveland, and Arrowsmith.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 155 between mile markers 22 and 30.
 Interstate 39 between mile markers 0 and 9.
 Interstate 55 between mile markers 153 and 178.
 Interstate 74 between mile markers 108 and 141.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
