This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue southeast of the
Kansas Turnpike this morning. The strongest storms will be capable
of 40 mph wind gusts and heavy rainfall.

Additional storms are possible this afternoon and evening, mainly
southeast of the Kansas Turnpike. The strongest storms will be
capable of damaging winds up to 70 mph and locally heavy rainfall.

Heat indices may approach 105 degrees across far southern Kansas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

Chances for showers and thunderstorms increase across the region
late Friday through early Monday and possibly into next week.

Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
