These storms are not expected to be strong or severe. Additional storms are possible this afternoon and evening, mainly southeast of the Kansas Turnpike. The strongest storms will be capable of damaging winds up to 70 mph and locally heavy rainfall. Heat indices may approach 105 degrees across far southern Kansas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday Chances for showers and thunderstorms increase across the region late Friday through early Monday and possibly into next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
