...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN DELTA AND
SOUTHEASTERN MESA COUNTIES THROUGH 300 PM MDT...

At 232 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 17
miles west of Delta, or 22 miles southeast of Grand Junction, moving
northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Delta
and southeastern Mesa Counties.

This includes U.S. Highway 50 in Colorado between mile markers 49 and
63.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
