The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  North Central Gunnison County in west central Colorado...

* Until 745 PM MDT.

* At 440 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the Crystal River drainage. Between 0.3 and 0.8
  inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, highways,
           streets and county roads as well as other poor
           drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Marble and along McClure Pass.

This includes Colorado 133 between mile markers 45 and 46.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Raspberry Creek, South Fork Crystal River, Chair Creek, Lost Trail
  Creek, Rapid Creek, North Fork Crystal River and Crystal River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are many low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
