...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN MITCHELL...JEWELL...
SOUTHERN SMITH AND OSBORNE COUNTIES THROUGH 1115 PM CDT...

At 1038 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Hardy to near Ionia to near Alton.
Movement was southeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Downs, Jewell, Portis, Formoso, Ionia, and Montrose around 1045 PM
  CDT.
  Osborne and Cawker City around 1050 PM CDT.
  Glen Elder and Randall around 1055 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these storms include Beloit, Tipton
and Scottsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
north central Kansas.
