Thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast today and tonight, with the overall best chances expected this evening into the overnight hours. There will be the potential for some storms to be strong to severe, mainly between 7 PM and midnight for north central KS and portions of south central Nebraska west of Highway 281. The primary hazards would be hail up to the size of ping pong balls and wind gusts up to 70 MPH, though an isolated tornado is not out of the question. Heavy rainfall will also be a concern, which could result in flooding issues in areas that have had a few inches of rain in the past couple of days. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. For Thursday, Independence Day, thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast, but the best chances are focused during the first half of the day...ending from west to east by mid to late afternoon. Severe weather is currently not anticipated. Periodic thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast Saturday through Tuesday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
