...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by earlier excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...A portion of east central Nebraska, including the
  following county, Polk.

* WHEN...Until 130 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1025 AM CDT, Emergency management reported that Davis
    Creek remains flooded in the Osceola area due to 2 to 4
    inches of rain that fell over the last two days, although
    water has started to recede since earlier this morning.
    However, Highway 81/92 remains closed in the area at this
    time. Other small creeks in the area could also be
    experiencing flooding. Fortunately, little additional rain is
    expected today, likely less than one-quarter inch.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Davis Creek, Prairie Creek, Lincoln Creek, Clear Creek, North
    Branch Big Blue River and Big Blue River.

  - Some locations that could experience flooding include...
    Stromsburg, Osceola and Shelby.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
