...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM CDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Nebraska, including the
  following counties, Dawson and Gosper.

* WHEN...Until 315 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Rises in small streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1145 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Elwood, Smithfield, Johnson Lake and Farnam.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
