The first of which will be today. Decaying showers and storms will move out of Nebraska and into Iowa this morning, followed up by potential for some stronger storms this evening and overnight. Otherwise, expect a cool day with clouds and rain limiting temperatures to the low to mid 70s in most locations, even with some breezy southeast winds in place. Tonight and beyond: Storms that move out of Nebraska tonight and overnight will carry the potential to be on the strong or severe side. Main concern would be for damaging winds and hail. Then, the hits keep on rolling when it comes to showers and storms in the forecast. Tuesday may see scattered showers and storms through the day as a weak boundary sits across the state and a reinvigorated potential for some severe storms over southern areas by the afternoon and evening. Wednesday will likely be the quietest day with nothing substantial forecast during the daytime hours. Then to round out the week, additional chances for showers and storms make appearances Thursday and Friday, though the risk for any stronger to severe storms remains uncertain at this time. Temperatures throughout the week are predominantly expected to top out in the 80s, aside from today and possibly Friday. $$
