...NOAA WEATHER RADIO WNG-730 AT OTTUMWA IS OFF THE AIR...

The NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter WNG-730 at Ottumwa Iowa is off the
air due to a communications or hardware failure. Technicians have
been notified but there is no estimated restore time.

The Ottumwa NOAA Weather Radio broadcasts on Channel 5 or a frequency
of 162.500 MHz...and services the following counties in Iowa...
Appanoose...Davis...Keokuk...Lucas...Mahaska...Monroe...Wapello...and
Wayne. Putnam county Missouri is also served by this transmitter.

Neighboring transmitters that service some of these counties include
KZZ-68 at Van Wert broadcasting on Channel 4 or 162.475 MHz...KXI-
62 at Montezuma broadcasting on Channel 3 or 162.450 MHz...WXN-85 at
Fairfield broadcasting on Channel 1 or 162.400 MHz...and WXM-36 at
Lancaster Missouri broadcasting on Channel 7 or 162.550 MHz.
