Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern New England
National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA
409 PM EDT Tue Jul 2 2024

.DISCUSSION...

High pressure over New York gradually buils east into the waters
of Southern New England through Wednesday. Expect full sun, dry
weather and generally light, terrain and/or seabreeze-driven
winds today and Wed.

Minimum relative humidities of 30 to 50 percent today and
Wednesday.

.OUTLOOK...Thursday through Sunday...

We head into a more unsettled weather pattern for the
Independence Day holiday and into the weekend. A cold front
brings showers and thunderstorms to Southern New England on
Independence Day. While hit or miss showers are possible Friday,
it is a relatively dry day. A slow moving frontal system brings
renewed clouds along with showers and storms this weekend.
Temperatures are seasonable to slightly above normal.
