.DISCUSSION...A wet, rainy and breezy pattern will continue as
a front moves into the area. Wetting rains are likely with most locations
receiving 0.10-0.25" of rain this afternoon except for the SE Interior
and Yukon Flats where less than a tenth of an inch is more likely.
The higher elevations in the Interior will likely see the heaviest rain
around 0.50-1.00". The strong southwest winds will continue into this
evening. Wind advisories have been issued from Fairbanks north and east.
Wind gusts upwards of 45 mph are expected from the White Mountains northward
while wind gusts up to 40 mph are expected to be from Ester east to
Fairbanks and Eielson. More rain is possible with a wet pattern into the weekend.
