...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL COLFAX COUNTY THROUGH 400
PM MDT...

At 324 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 12 miles northeast of Cimarron, or 22 miles northwest
of Springer, moving east at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Maxwell.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 424 and 430.
 Highway 64 between Mile Markers 315 and 336.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
