...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN ROOSEVELT...
NORTHEASTERN DE BACA AND SOUTHWESTERN QUAY COUNTIES THROUGH 745 PM
MDT...

At 713 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northwest of Taiban, or 9 miles northeast of Fort Sumner,
moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fort Sumner, Taiban, and Tolar.

This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 328 and 351.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on highways as storms move through the area.
