...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT CENTRAL SAN MIGUEL COUNTY THROUGH
1245 AM MDT...

At 1215 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 8 miles north of Variadero, or 36 miles southwest of
Mosquero, moving southeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Conchas Dam, Variadero, Conchas Lake State Park, Trujillo, and
Trementina.

This includes State Road 104 between Mile Markers 29 and 57, and near
Mile Marker 75.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If threatening weather approaches your area, take shelter in a sturdy
building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor your preferred
media outlets and NOAA Weather Radio for additional information and
possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on highways as storms move through the area.
