Widespread showers and storms today and tomorrow will favor locations south of I-40 and east of the central mountain chain. Localized flash flooding is possible once again, particularly over recent burn scars. Mostly dry weather prevails Thursday as a much drier airmass moves in from the northwest. A backdoor cold front brings moisture back into the area Friday night and it may generate gusty east winds through the gaps of the central mountain chain. Scattered showers and storms will favor locations along and east of the central mountain chain over the weekend into early next week.
