.DISCUSSION...The fire will see one last day of dry conditions
today with temperatures near normal for this time of year.
However, as a ridge moves into the Four Corners region, the flow
aloft will become more southerly over Utah, allowing monsoonal
moisture to quickly return to the area by Saturday morning. As a
result, the fire will see fairly widespread coverage of showers
and thunderstorms both Saturday and Sunday, with wetting rains
likely. Any storms that develop will be capable of producing heavy
rain capable of flash flooding as well as gusty and erratic
thunderstorm winds. The moisture is expected to decrease somewhat
early next week, but daily showers and storms can still be
expected for much of the upcoming week.
