Hot and dry weather will persist, as the upper level ridge
continues to build across West Texas. Temperatures for tomorrow
will be similar to today, with the hottest temperatures from the
Concho Valley northward into the Big Country. Will extend the
Heat Advisory through tomorrow across the Big Country, where heat
indices will range between 105 and 107 degrees. Expect warm
temperatures tonight, with lows in the 70s to around 80 degrees.
An RFD is in effect through 9 PM this evening as elevated fire
weather conditions persist, with another likely needed again
tomorrow.

(Friday night through next Thursday)

High pressure will remain across the region through the next 7
days. The center will shift back towards the southwestern U.S.
However, this means little change for the forecast as we will
still be hot and dry for the foreseeable future. Expect an
increased risk for heat related illnesses to continue being the
main headline for the long term portion of the forecast.
