.LONG TERM...
(Wednesday through Monday)
Issued at 1242 AM CDT Tue Jul 8 2025

An tropical wave is forecast to move onto the Texas coast Tuesday
resulting in an influx of moisture. Some of this moisture is
forecast to move into our southeast counties on Wednesday.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible
Wednesday afternoon across our southeast counties, with most of
the activity dissipating by mid evening. Highs on Wednesday will
be in the low to mid 90s.

Upper level ridging across the Southwest U.S. will nudge into West
Texas Thursday into Friday, resulting in drier and hotter
temperatures. Highs both days will be in the low to upper 90s. As we
head into the weekend, West Central Texas will be nudged in between
the aforementioned upper level ridge to our west and another upper
level ridge centered across the Southeast US. This will result in
highs near to below normal this weekend into early next week. In
addition, isolated to scattered showers will be possible.
