.SYNOPSIS...
While an increase in monsoonal moisture for the weekend into early
next week may bring some afternoon clouds to the mountains,
daily chances for measurable rainfall for the mountains will
remain at less than 10 percent for at least the next week. It
will be slightly warmer through Thursday and Friday, a few degrees
cooler on Saturday, then slowly warmer for Sunday into the middle
of next week. Night and morning coastal low clouds will extend
locally inland into coastal areas late each night.

.DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE...
SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

.SHORT TERM (Today through Friday)...
Low pressure systems will move inland to the north with high
pressure aloft centered across northern Mexico. This will maintain
drier southwest to west flow aloft across the area with slight
warming through Thursday and Friday. Night and morning coastal low
clouds will extend locally inland into coastal areas late each
night.

.LONG TERM (Saturday through Tuesday)...
A large low pressure system will be off the West Coast with high
pressure centered over New Mexico and Texas and with generally
southwest flow aloft over at least portions of southern
California. While monsoonal moisture may increase some for the
weekend into early next week, NBM daily chances for measurable
precipitation in the mountains are now less than 10 percent each
day, greatest at Big Bear on Wednesday at 7 percent. High
temperatures on Saturday may be a few degrees cooler followed by a
slow warming trend for Sunday into the middle of next week.

.AVIATION...
140900Z...Coast/Valleys...Low clouds have so far struggled to
develop but are expected to increase in coverage through the early
morning, moving inland up to 10 miles by 13Z-14Z. Bases expected at
700-1000 ft MSL with tops to around 1200 ft MSL. 60-70% chance for
CIGs at coastal sites by 10Z-11Z this morning. Local vis reductions
3-5 miles on higher coastal terrain. Expect clearing to the beaches
15Z-16Z. Low clouds with similar bases look to be patchy and slow to
form late this evening, moving ashore around 09Z-11Z Thu.

Mountains/Deserts...Mostly clear with unrestricted VIS through
Thursday morning.
