...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN CARTER COUNTY
THROUGH 145 PM EDT...

At 110 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Head of Grassy, or 10 miles northwest of Carter Caves State Park,
moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Carter Caves State Park, Gesling, and Carter.

This includes Interstate 64 in Kentucky between mile markers 161 and
163.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
