...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL WAKE AND
NORTHWESTERN JOHNSTON COUNTIES THROUGH 645 PM EDT...

At 538 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Fuquay-Varina, or 12 miles south of Cary, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Smithfield, Garner, Clayton, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Lake Wheeler,
and Lake Benson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM EDT for
central North Carolina.
