This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central North Carolina.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

There is a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) for isolated severe storms
this afternoon and evening. Any stronger storm could be capable of
producing an isolated damaging wind gust.

Additionally, there is a marginal risk (level 1 of 4) for excessive
rainfall this afternoon and evening. Isolated flash flooding may be
possible especially over urban areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

A wet and unsettled pattern is expected Friday and into the weekend.
Periods of heavy rain will be possible which could also result in
flooding.

There is a slight risk (level 2 of 5) for scattered severe storms
this afternoon and evening. Any stronger storms could be capable of
producing damaging wind gusts and hail.

Additionally, there is a slight risk (level 2 of 4) for excessive
rainfall this afternoon and evening. Flash flooding may be possible
within heavier downpours especially over urban areas.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

A marginal to slight risk of excessive rainfall continues Friday,
mainly over the Sandhills to southern Coastal Plain. Flash flooding
may be possible within heavier downpours, especially over urban
areas.

A wet and unsettled pattern is expected to continue this weekend.
Periods of heavy rain will be possible which could also result in
flooding.
