...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHWESTERN ALAMOSA...
SOUTHEASTERN RIO GRANDE...NORTHWESTERN COSTILLA AND NORTHEASTERN
CONEJOS COUNTIES THROUGH 330 PM MDT...

At 249 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
San Luis Valley Airport, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Heavy rain, penny size hail and wind gusts to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Alamosa, San Luis Valley Airport, and Alamosa East.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
