...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL HUERFANO...EAST
CENTRAL COSTILLA AND WESTERN LAS ANIMAS COUNTIES THROUGH 115 PM
MDT...

At 1244 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
La Veta, or 39 miles northwest of Trinidad, moving south at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
La Veta, Cuchara, Cuchara Pass, Spring Burn Scar south of Highway 160
in Costilla county, Spring Burn Scar north of Highway 160, Indian
Creek on the southeastern Spring Burn Scar, and Spring Burn Scar
south of Highway 160 in Huerfano county.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
