At 1247 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Blue Lake, or 21 miles northeast of North La Junta, moving south at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and locally heavy rainfall. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. High water and enhanced flows will be possible in low lying areas, ditches, creeks and streams. Ponding of water will be possible on roadways during the heavier rainfall.
