Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
243 PM MDT Thu Jul 18 2024

.Discussion...

A cooler and wetter pattern will continue through the weekend
into early next week, with daily chances for showers and
thunderstorms over the mountains, spreading off into the
southeast plains during the evening hours. Locally heavy
rainfall, hail, and strong outflow winds will be possible with
the stronger storms. Temperatures will warm back to seasonal
levels through the middle and end of next week, with thunderstorm
chances remaining high over and near the mountains each day.

Smoke dispersion is expected to be good to very good across
eastern portions of the district Friday and Saturday, with only
fair to good dispersion across western portions of the district
both days.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
