Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
120 PM PDT Sun Jul 7 2024

.DISCUSSION...Hot and dry conditions will continue through the
week as a ridge of high pressure influences the region`s weather.

Locally breezy winds will develop this afternoon and again Tuesday
afternoon, but confidence in widespread overlapping coverage of
critical wind and RH values is too low (<50% chance) to issue any
Red Flag Warnings or Fire Weather Watches at this time.

We are monitoring elevated fire weather conditions Tuesday
afternoon through Wednesday as an unstable air mass develops.
Breezy winds will redevelop through the Cascade gaps and the
Columbia Basin during the day Wednesday.

Afternoon RHs will remain low, in the single digits to teens,
through the week. Poor to moderate overnight RH recoveries are
forecast each night, especially along ridges and slopes.
