...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...Missouri...

  Mississippi River at Thebes affecting Alexander and Scott
  Counties.

  Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau affecting Union, Jackson,
  Perry, Alexander, Cape Girardeau and Scott Counties.

For the Mississippi River...including Cape Girardeau, Thebes,
Hickman, New Madrid...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Thebes.

* WHEN...Until early Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 34.0 feet, The town of Thebes begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 35.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:00 AM CDT Saturday was 35.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    Tuesday evening and continue falling to 28.3 feet Tuesday,
    July 23.
  - Flood stage is 33.0 feet.

  - At 10:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 36.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 10:00 AM CDT Saturday was 36.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early Friday morning and continue falling to 29.2 feet
    Tuesday, July 23.
  - Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
