New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A weak stationary front will
remain near the coast or just inland today into Wed. The front
will lift N as a warm front later Wed and Wed night as low
pressure tracks NE over the eastern Great Lakes. A cold front
trailing S from the low will approach from the W Thu and Thu
night, and then stall and slowly weaken near the coast Fri and
Fri night. Otherwise, a high pressure ridge will prevail to the
SE of the region today into Fri night.
