Southeast Gulf of America

.SYNOPSIS...A surface trough will persist across the NE Gulf
today. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to
develop along this trough over the waters near NW Florida. Weak
high pressure will then prevail through Thu night. Fresh to
locally strong NE to E winds will pulse along and just north of
the Yucatan Peninsula each afternoon and evening through the
forecast period as a trough develops inland daily and then
drifts westward over the Bay of Campeche at night.

.THIS AFTERNOON...SW winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
.TONIGHT...SW winds 5 to 10 kt, shifting to S after midnight.
Seas 2 ft or less.
.MON...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
.MON NIGHT...E to SE winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
.TUE...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
.TUE NIGHT...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft.
.WED...NE to E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning,

Within 200 nm east of the coast of Florida

.SYNOPSIS...Moderate to fresh southerly winds and moderate seas
related to Tropical Depression Chantal, inland North Carolina,
are still affecting the waters offshore NE Florida. As Chantal
continues to move away from the forecast area, the Atlantic
ridge will build westward toward Florida and the Bahamas. This
pattern will support generally gentle to moderate winds, except
for fresh to locally strong E to SE winds off the northern coast
of Hispaniola through Thu night.

.THIS AFTERNOON...SE to S winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and S to SW
10 to 15 kt N of 27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
.TONIGHT...SE winds 5 to 10 kt S of 27N, and S 10 to 15 kt N of
27N. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Scattered showers and isolated tstms.
.MON...SE winds 5 to 10 kt. Seas 3 ft in the morning, subsiding
to 2 ft or less.
.MON NIGHT...E winds 10 to 15 kt S of 27N, and SE 5 to 10 kt N of
27N. Seas 2 ft or less.
.TUE...E winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
