.SYNOPSIS...A slow-moving cold front extending SW from the
Virginia Capes will move slowly SE toward the area tonight. The
front will drift slowly S into the northern waters on Tue, then
finally move S into the rest of the waters Tue night and Wed as a
weak area of low pressure develops along it. The front will then
continue moving S into the central waters on Thu with high
pressure building S into the northern waters Thu night through
Fri night. By Thu night, Potential Tropical Cyclone Five will be
moving N through the southwestern Atlantic N of the Greater
Antilles, possibly as a hurricane. The system is expected to
remain well SE of the waters but may lead to increased seas. See
the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center on
Potential Tropical Cyclone Five. Chesapeake NAVTEX continues to
be reported inoperable.
