.SYNOPSIS...A cold front over the S portion will pass S of the
waters tonight. A high pressure ridge will build SE over the
waters tonight into Sat, then slowly shift E of the region Sat
night into Sun night. Hurricane Ernesto will track N to NE to
the SE of the area Thu, then turn N to NE Thu night into Sun
while passing NE of the waters before accelerating off to the NE
Sun night and Mon. Long period SE to E swell from Ernesto will
move N and NW into the waters Thu into Fri, and then continue into
Mon night. See the latest advisory from the National Hurricane
Center on Hurricane Ernesto. A weak cold front will approach from
the NW Mon night. The NAVTEX stations in Charleston and
Chesapeake have been reported to be inoperable.
