.SYNOPSIS...High pressure will persist over the N portion and
also the W portions of the central and southern waters tonight,
then slowly shift NE of the region while weakening Sat into Sat
night. Hurricane Ernesto will track N to NE and remain to the SE
of the area tonight, then continue to move NE into Sun night
while passing E of the waters before accelerating off to the NE
Sun night and Mon. Long period SE to E swell from Ernesto will
move N and NW into the waters through the weekend into Mon and
Mon night. For more information on Ernesto please see the latest
National Hurricane Center advisory. Otherwise, a cold front will
approach the coast from the W and NW by Mon, gradually move
offshore later Mon into Mon night, and then slowly cross the
region Tue into Tue night. The front will stall over the southern
portion Wed and Wed night. The NAVTEX station in Chesapeake has
been reported to be inoperable.
