.SYNOPSIS...A weak area of high pressure S of the waters this
evening will dissipate tonight. Hurricane Ernesto will remain
well E of the area as it continues tracking NE tonight. Long
period E to NE swell from Ernesto will persist across the waters
through Mon night. See the latest National Hurricane Center
advisory on Ernesto for more information. A cold front will
gradually move offshore late Mon and Mon night, then slowly move
ESE across the waters Tue into Tue night. The front will move E
of the northern and central waters by Wed but become stationary
across the far southern waters Wed night and Thu. It will then
move slightly N to near the Outer Banks Fri and Fri night.
Meanwhile, weak high pressure will build E across the northern
waters Wed night and persist through Fri night. The NAVTEX
station in Chesapeake remains inoperable, and should be assumed
to be inoperable until a return to service has been reported.
