FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
National Weather Service Marquette MI
534 AM EDT Fri Jul 19 2024

.DISCUSSION:

Dry weather for today will give way to chances for showers and
isolated storms into Saturday as a cold front moves through; the
best chances are across the western and south-central UP.
Temperatures peak in the 80s across much of the area today, with
relative humidity falling into the upper 30s to lower 40s. Apart
from in the Keweenaw, where winds may gust to around 20mph today,
winds should generally be light and dominated by lake breezes.
This may result in a sudden change in wind direction near the
lakeshores this afternoon. Temperatures come in a couple degrees
cooler Saturday, with a more moist airmass in place as relative
humidity generally stays above 55%.
