The National Weather Service in Mobile has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  Coastal waters from Pensacola FL to Pascagoula MS out 20 NM...
  Mississippi Sound...
  North Mobile Bay...
  South Mobile Bay...

* Until 800 PM CDT.

* At 624 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm producing waterspouts was
  located over Dauphin Island Bridge, or near Central Dauphin
  Island, moving northeast at 15 knots. A strong outflow boundary
  was also moving southeast at 15 knots over Mobile Bay.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly
           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

* Locations impacted include...
  Gaillard Island, Pinto Island, East Fowl River Bridge, Sand Island
  Lighthouse, Bon Secour Bay, Middle Bay Light, Mississippi Sound
  East Of Pascagoula, Heron Bay, Battleship Park, and Point Clear.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.
