The Fort Pierce NOAA weather radio transmitter WWF-69, operating on a frequency of 162.425 megahertz will be off the air on Saturday, July 13th between the hours of 3:00-5:00 PM EDT due to maintenance being conducted at the transmitter site. This transmitter serves Indian River, Saint Lucie, Martin and Okeechobee counties. While normal broadcasts are interrupted, the National Weather Service in Melbourne suggests that NOAA Weather Radio listeners in these counties tune to their local media outlets for the latest National Weather Service watches, warnings and statements.
